sometimes I feel like being all badass & think of posing like
but I ended up being all
& when I can’t take whatever my teacher is talking about, I feel like storming out
but in the end I just sit there

Band Banquet 2011-2012 (May 25,2012)
To start off, I had to walk to my section leaders house in my killer heels. Which was not fun. At all. But it was worth it when we went to banquet together. I walked into Almansor Court joking with her about the sign, because it looked like a sketchy strip club sign. I think it was the neon lights. Hmmmm. Maybe. But continuing with my record, we walked in the walked but out to take hundreds of photo graphs of each other. I was saw them sexy colorguard ladies whom I love dearly, orchestra, and of course the rest of the band. And I find it fantastic to see all of my second family coming together and celebrating for the last time. I took 225 photos of me with them, or just them getting their awards. There’s not much to write about this amazing night because I was too busy being happy for everyone’s accomplishments but there are many highlights.
There is so much more I want to write, but it’s hard to put it into words. but I’ll post the pictures and hopefully videos on Facebook. |
First half of May, most recent: California Proposition 29 Phone-banking
Firstly, I want to apologize to myself for not working out as much as last month because this month has been so far, so busy for me. It started out with jazz band’s preparation for the final jazz competition for the year (and ever for me and the seniors). It went fine, but I thought I could have doe much better if it wasn’t for the vibraphone. Even I lifted the peddle it kept ringing! Then there was Regionals, which I thought we scored fairly well in. CB - 2 superiors, 2 excellents out of total 4; WE - 1 superior, 3 excellents [then again Mr. M choose some of the harder piece from the list of required music]. After that was over with we had band officer elections, and in respect for 2011-2012 band president Michelle Virato’s nomination — I hope I win librarian. And if I get nominated next year, I will make a better speech! I was promoting our band’s entry to Do Something’s Band for the Bands. That wasn’t much but it wasn’t easy either. We ended up with 400 or so votes. CSTs were not fun to do, and man I found a new reason why to dislike my Chinese teacher. Man if CST is bad (not hard-bad, more like brain-draining-bad) then I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like taking APEs. Well I’m screwed. Darn you Asian Overachiever complex (I just made that up). Well now I just finished my Romeo and Juliet project, and can focus on my Biology project. Typhoid fever. Fun. As for my grades, well I’m not doing to hot in Geometry; English is fine; I’m scared for the Chinese final; Biology can go rot in a hole, and I’d rather choke on vomit than dissect a frog; and Massaro scares me when it come to playing tests, especially since I still need to learn how to play the tuba. Fooey. News in clubs, I got elected as webmaster (a recently made staff position made by yours-truly) for Araslyn Board. Leo Club is doing fine. I found an event we could do, “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”. I went to Pasedena’s ACS office and phone banked there for 3 hours with my wonderful friends. It was the fastest three hours of my life. And I want to go back. I still have Spring Spectacular, finals, playing tests, Typhoid project, and banquets to go. Then it’s on to graduation (I’m preparing my tears) and about 5 days later summer school and assignments. |
